Wynnstay Walled Garden

The Wynnstay Estate boasts a walled garden designed by the renowned landscape architect Sir Lancelot 'Capability' Brown, adding to its already impressive credentials.

The lovingly restored Grade 1 listed 7 acre walled garden is a magnificent architectural landmark steeped in rich history. The heated wall helped exotic fruit grow and flourish, providing a paradisal bounty of lemons, oranges, and figs.

Now, the walled garden is a peaceful haven that offers a tranquil retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The garden is a beautiful spot for residents to relax and unwind, surrounded by the natural beauty of the countryside.

Restoring the wall to its former glory was a challenging and meticulous process, requiring creative solutions to receive planning permission and breathe new life into the time-worn structure.

The consent to restore the wall also yielded permission to construct seven four and five-bedroom detached family properties on the footprint of the old kitchen garden buildings that once existed, providing further value and opportunity on the grounds of this esteemed estate.
